CatVPN - Privacy Policy
Last Updated: March 1st, 2025.
1: Introduction
Welcome to CatVPN, a privacy-focused VPN service provided by Pawxy Inc., a
company registered in the United States of America. This Privacy Policy
explains how we handle user data, our commitment to privacy, and the measures we take to ensure that our users
remain anonymous while using our services.
At CatVPN, privacy is our top priority. We operate under a strict no-log policy,
meaning:
- We do not track, store, or log your online activity, browsing history, or connection
timestamps.
- We do not collect or retain personal user identifiers such as IP addresses, MAC addresses, IMEI
numbers, or email
addresses.
- We only process minimal and temporary metadata required for fair usage enforcement and service
functionality (
explained in later sections).
1.1 Who This Privacy Policy Applies To
This Privacy Policy applies to all users worldwide who use the CatVPN app and
services. By using CatVPN,
you acknowledge that:
- You must be at least 13 years old to use the service.
- You agree to the terms outlined in this Privacy Policy.
1.2 Jurisdiction & Compliance
Pawxy Inc. is incorporated in the United States of America, a jurisdiction known for
strong privacy
protections and no mandatory data retention laws.
- As a USA-based company, we are not required to store user logs or monitor VPN activity.
- We do not comply with foreign government requests for user data, as we do not store any
identifiable user logs.
Currently, CatVPN is available exclusively for Android users. However, we plan to expand to other
platforms,
including iOS, Windows, routers, and browser extensions in the future.
- As additional platforms are introduced, this Privacy Policy may be updated to reflect how
privacy and data
handling apply to those platforms.
- We will notify users of significant policy changes through in-app notifications.
CatVPN is designed to provide a privacy-first experience and follows a strict no-log
policy. We do not
track, log, or store users' VPN activity in any form.
However, to ensure app functionality, fair usage enforcement, and service improvements, we collect
and process a
minimal amount of non-personal information, which is outlined below.
To ensure complete anonymity, CatVPN does not collect, store, or track:
- Browsing history, websites visited, DNS queries, or online activities.
- Real IP addresses, VPN-assigned IPs, MAC addresses, IMEI numbers, or other sensitive device
identifiers.
- User account details, emails, phone numbers, or any personally identifiable information (PII).
- VPN session timestamps or connection logs.
Since CatVPN follows a no-log policy, we have no data to share with third parties,
including governments or law
enforcement.
2.2 Minimal Data for Fair Usage Enforcement
To prevent abuse and ensure service stability, CatVPN temporarily processes the
following non-personal
metadata:
- Total data transferred per session (no details on actual content or activity).
- Total session duration (time spent connected to VPN).
This data is not linked to any identifiable information and is stored only using an
anonymous, obfuscated device
installation ID (not traceable to the real device ID).
🚨 Important: We do not collect or associate this metadata with VPN traffic, IP
addresses, or online activity.
This temporary data is automatically erased after 7 days (explained in Section 4).
2.3 Third-Party Services Used in CatVPN
CatVPN integrates the following third-party services, which operate independently and have
no access to VPN
activity:
(a) Google AdMob (For Ads in Free Version)
- We use Google AdMob to display advertisements to free users.
- Google AdMob may show personalized ads based on device-level activity
collected by Google.
- CatVPN does not provide any VPN-related data to AdMob, as all VPN traffic is encrypted.
- Users can learn more about Google’s ad policies and control ad settings via their Google Account
settings.
(b) Firebase Services (For App Functionality
& Stability)
- CatVPN utilizes Google Firebase for app functionality, crash reporting, and push
notifications.
- Firebase does not have access to VPN activity or user IP addresses.
- It is used solely to ensure the smooth operation of the app.
(c) Google Analytics (For Service Improvements)
- We use Google Analytics to collect non-personal, aggregated app usage data,
such as:
- Daily Active Users (DAU) & Monthly Active Users (MAU).
- Geographical distribution (major countries using CatVPN).
- Feature popularity & app performance statistics.
- This helps us improve infrastructure based on demand but does not track individual user
behavior.
🚨 Important:
- None of these third-party services have access to VPN activity, connection logs, or user
identity.
- CatVPN does not share or sell any user data to advertisers or analytics providers.
CatVPN is committed to user privacy and data security. The minimal, non-personal data we collect
is used solely
to maintain service functionality, prevent misuse, and improve app stability. We never
track, log, or monitor VPN
activity, and all collected data is processed anonymously, securely transmitted via SSL, and
automatically erased
within 7 days.
3.1 Purpose of Data Processing
The limited data collected is used for the following purposes:
Identifying New vs. Returning Users
Helps determine if a user is new or has previously used the service.
Enables free users to enjoy an initial ad-free period before ads are introduced.
Preventing Misuse & Ensuring Fair Usage
Detects massive data consumption or unusual activity patterns to prevent
excessive server resource usage.
Applies session-based time restrictions for free users to ensure fair access for all.
Improving App Stability & Functionality
Anonymous crash logs and performance data help identify bugs and optimize the app.
- Insights into major usage regions (without tracking individual users) help optimize server
distribution.
3.2 How Data is Processed & Secured
- All collected data is stored anonymously, with no connection to a user’s identity, IP address,
or VPN traffic.
- Data transmission is secured using strong SSL encryption, preventing unauthorized access.
- No sensitive information (such as VPN activity, real IP addresses, or browsing history) is
collected or processed.
🚨 Auto-Erasure Policy:
- All collected data is automatically deleted within 7 days.
- After this period, no historical records exist, ensuring user privacy.
3.3 No Data Sharing or Sale
- CatVPN does not sell, rent, or share any user data with third parties.
- Collected data is used strictly for internal purposes and is never used for advertising,
tracking, or profiling.
- Even with Google AdMob ads present in the free version, no VPN-related data is shared with ad
providers.
4: Data Retention & Deletion
CatVPN follows a strict data minimization policy, ensuring that any data collected is stored
only temporarily
and automatically erased after a short retention period.
We do not store, log, or retain any user data beyond the necessary timeframe for fair usage
enforcement and
service functionality.
4.1 Data Retention Policy
The only data that is temporarily stored includes:
- Total data transferred per VPN session.
- Total session duration.
- Anonymous crash logs and performance data (for debugging and service improvements).
🚨 Retention Period:
- All collected data is automatically erased after 7 days.
- Once deleted, this data cannot be recovered, ensuring that no long-term records exist.
4.2 How Data is Deleted
- Data is automatically purged from our systems after the retention period expires.
- The deletion process is performed securely, ensuring permanent removal with no backups
retained.
- Users do not need to request deletion, as the system automatically enforces this policy.
4.3 No User-Identifiable Data is Stored
- Since CatVPN does not collect any personally identifiable information, there is no
need for manual data
deletion requests.
- Users remain completely anonymous, as all temporary data is tied to an obfuscated,
non-traceable device
installation ID.
🚨 Key Takeaway: CatVPN operates under a true no-log policy, ensuring that all
collected data is:
✔️ Temporary
✔️ Anonymous
✔️ Auto-deleted
within 7 days
5: No-Log Policy & Security Measures
At CatVPN, privacy and security are the core principles of our service. We
operate under a strict no-log
policy, ensuring that users remain completely anonymous while using our VPN.
Unlike traditional internet services, CatVPN does not track, monitor, or retain any user
activity, and we
implement industry-leading security measures to safeguard user data.
5.1 No-Log Policy
CatVPN is designed to never store or retain any information related to users' VPN sessions.
This means:
- No Browsing History Logs – We do not track or store websites visited, DNS queries, or online
activities.
- No Connection Logs – We do not retain VPN session timestamps, assigned IP addresses, or
connection durations.
- No Identifiable User Data – We do not collect personal information such as real IP addresses,
MAC addresses, IMEI
numbers, email addresses, or payment details (for free users).
- No Traffic Monitoring – We do not inspect or log the content of user traffic, ensuring complete
online privacy.
Because we do not store user data, we have no information to provide to third
parties, including government
authorities or legal entities.
🚨 Key Takeaway: If anyone requests user activity data, we cannot provide what we do not
have.
5.2 Strong Security & Encryption Measures
CatVPN employs best-in-class security practices to protect user data, including:
(a) WireGuard Protocol for VPN Encryption
- CatVPN currently operates exclusively on WireGuard, one of the fastest and most
secure VPN protocols
available.
- WireGuard uses modern cryptographic algorithms, including ChaCha20 encryption, to ensure strong
security while
maintaining high-speed performance.
- We periodically assess new VPN protocols and may introduce additional options in the future
based on industry
advancements and user demand.
(b) End-to-End Encryption for Data
Transmission
- All user data, including temporary metadata for fair usage enforcement, is encrypted using
SSL/TLS encryption
before transmission.
- This prevents man-in-the-middle (MITM) attacks, unauthorized interception, and data tampering.
(c) No IP, DNS, or WebRTC Leaks
- CatVPN ensures that user IP addresses remain completely hidden from websites and third
parties.
- Our VPN prevents DNS leaks, ensuring that all requests are routed securely through
CatVPN’s encrypted tunnels.
- WebRTC leak protection is built into the VPN to prevent exposure of real IP addresses in web
applications.
5.3 Server Infrastructure & Privacy
Standards
- RAM-Only Servers: All VPN servers operate on volatile RAM (Random Access
Memory) instead of traditional hard
drives.
- This ensures that no data is permanently stored and that all session-related data is
erased upon server
reboot.
- Zero-Knowledge Network: Our systems are designed to operate without retaining
identifiable user logs.
- Jurisdictional Privacy Protection: Since Pawxy Inc. is based in the United States of
America, we are
not subject to mandatory data retention laws.
🚨 Important: Even in the event of a legal request, we cannot provide logs, as none
exist.
5.4 Independent Security Audits (Planned for
Future)
- CatVPN is committed to transparency and trust.
- In the future, we plan to conduct independent third-party security audits to validate our
no-log policy and
security measures.
5.5 Protecting Users from Third-Party
Tracking
- CatVPN does not use invasive tracking mechanisms such as browser fingerprinting or
persistent cookies.
- While Google AdMob is used for ad-supported free users, it operates independently and does
not have access to
VPN traffic or user logs.
- Users concerned about tracking can adjust ad personalization settings within their Google
Account.
6: Third-Party Services & Advertising
CatVPN integrates a limited number of third-party services to support app functionality, improve
performance, and
generate revenue. However, we ensure that none of these services have access to VPN activity, user logs, or
personal
identifiers.
All third-party interactions are independent of VPN traffic, and CatVPN does not share,
track, or monitor any
user activity for advertising or analytics purposes.
6.1 Google AdMob (For Free Version
Advertising)
To support our free VPN services, we use Google AdMob to display advertisements in
the CatVPN app.
- AdMob ads are separate from VPN activity and do not interact with encrypted VPN traffic.
- Google AdMob may display personalized ads based on device-level activity
collected by Google.
- Users can control ad personalization via their Google Account ad settings.
🚨 Important: CatVPN does not share, sell, or provide any VPN-related data to
Google AdMob or other
advertisers.
6.2 Firebase Services (For App
Functionality & Crash Reporting)
CatVPN uses Google Firebase for essential app services, including:
- Crash reporting (to detect and fix technical issues).
- Push notifications (to inform users about app updates).
- General app performance monitoring (without tracking user identity).
🚨 Privacy Assurance:
- Firebase does not collect VPN activity, user IP addresses, or browsing data.
- This data is used solely for improving app performance and stability.
6.3 Google Analytics (For Service
Improvements)
To optimize infrastructure and improve services, CatVPN uses Google Analytics to collect:
- App usage statistics (Daily Active Users, Monthly Active Users).
- General location trends (country-level insights, not individual tracking).
- Feature popularity data (to help us focus on improvements).
🚨 No Personal Tracking:
- Google Analytics does not track individual users or VPN activity.
- No personal data is collected—only aggregated, anonymized usage trends.
6.4 No Third-Party Data Sharing or Sale
- CatVPN does not sell or rent user data to any third-party service.
- We do not engage in behavioral tracking, fingerprinting, or cross-app profiling.
- No third party—including advertisers, analytics providers, or government entities—has access to
VPN traffic,
browsing activity, or user logs.
7: Legal Compliance & Requests
At CatVPN, user privacy is our top priority, and we are committed to protecting
our users from unwarranted
data collection, surveillance, and legal overreach.
Pawxy Inc. is incorporated in the United States of America, a jurisdiction known for
strong privacy
protections and no mandatory data retention laws. This means we are not legally required to
store user logs or share
any data with third parties, including governments and law enforcement agencies.
7.1 No-Log Policy & Legal Requests
- CatVPN follows a strict no-log policy, meaning we do not store or retain
any user activity, browsing
history, connection timestamps, or IP addresses.
- Because we do not collect identifiable user data, we have no information to
share in response to any legal
request.
- Even if compelled by a government authority, we cannot provide what we do not have.
🚨 Key Takeaway: If a third party—whether a law enforcement agency, government entity, or private
organization—requests user data, our response will be simple:
"We do not store or log any user activity, and therefore, we have no data to provide."
7.2 Jurisdiction & Foreign Data Requests
- As a USA-based company, CatVPN is subject only to the laws of the United States of
America.
- We are not subject to foreign surveillance programs (e.g., Five Eyes, Nine Eyes, or Fourteen
Eyes alliances).
- We do not comply with foreign government data requests, subpoenas, or court orders, as we are
not legally
obligated to do so under USA law.
🚨 Important: Even if a foreign agency submits a legal request, it must go through the USA
legal system, which
does not require VPN providers to log user data.
7.3 How We Handle Legal Requests
If Pawxy Inc. receives a legal request, we will:
- Assess the request’s validity under USA laws.
- Reject requests that do not meet USA legal requirements.
- Respond with “No data available” if the request pertains to VPN activity logs, which we do not
collect.
We do not participate in mass surveillance programs or provide any form of voluntary cooperation
with government
agencies.
7.4 Protection Against Data Seizures &
Security Audits
- All CatVPN servers operate on RAM-only technology, meaning no user data is ever
stored on a physical hard
drive.
- If a server is seized or compromised, no data can be recovered, as everything is erased upon
reboot.
- We plan to conduct independent third-party security audits in the future to validate our
no-log policy and
commitment to privacy.
7.5 User Responsibility & Compliance with
Local Laws
While CatVPN ensures strong privacy protection, users are responsible for ensuring that
their VPN usage
complies with local laws in their respective jurisdictions.
- Some countries restrict or ban VPN usage, and it is the user’s responsibility to be aware of
and adhere to local
regulations.
- Pawxy Inc. is not liable for any legal consequences arising from a user’s misuse of the
service.
8: User Rights & Control
CatVPN is designed to provide maximum privacy and anonymity by following a strict no-log
policy. Since we
do not collect or store personally identifiable information, users have limited
rights regarding data access,
modification, or deletion because there is no personal data stored or linked to any individual user.
8.1 No User Data Access or Deletion Requests
- CatVPN does not collect, store, or track personal user data such as names, email addresses,
phone numbers, or
IP addresses.
- Any temporary metadata collected for fair usage enforcement is fully anonymous and cannot be
linked to an
individual user.
- All collected data is automatically deleted within 7 days, meaning there is no
historical data available for
access or deletion requests.
- Since all data is processed without personal identifiers, it is not possible to
identify which data belongs to
whom.
🚨 Key Takeaway: Users cannot request access to or deletion of their data because CatVPN
does not retain any
personal information beyond the short retention period for service functionality.
8.2 No Manual Opt-Out from Third-Party
Services
CatVPN uses Google AdMob (for ads) and Google Analytics (for basic app insights) to support app
functionality and
infrastructure improvements.
- Users cannot manually opt out of AdMob advertising or analytics tracking, as these services are
required for app
revenue and performance monitoring.
- However, Google AdMob handles its own data collection at the device level, and users can adjust
ad
personalization settings through their Google Account.
- Google Analytics is used solely for aggregated, non-personal insights (such as user activity
trends and app
stability reports) and does not track VPN activity.
🚨 Important: Neither Google AdMob nor Google Analytics have access to VPN traffic or user
browsing activity.
8.3 Future User Control Options
As CatVPN expands its services (e.g., cross-platform subscriptions and new features), we may introduce:
- Additional user control options to manage subscription settings and data preferences.
- More privacy customization features for enhanced security and personalization.
Any future updates to user control options will be reflected in this Privacy Policy,
and users will be notified
via in-app notifications.
9: Changes to This Privacy Policy
Pawxy Inc. reserves the right to update, modify, or revise this Privacy Policy at any time to:
- Comply with new legal or regulatory requirements.
- Reflect service improvements, new features, or cross-platform expansions.
- Adjust third-party service integrations (e.g., ad networks, analytics).
9.1 Notification of Changes
Since CatVPN is an account-less service, we do not collect user emails or other
contact details to notify
users directly. Instead, updates to this Privacy Policy will be communicated through:
- In-App Notifications – Users will be informed of significant changes via a notification inside
the CatVPN app.
- App Updates on Google Play Store – The latest version of the Privacy Policy will be accessible
within the app and
on our website.
Users are encouraged to review this Privacy Policy periodically to stay informed of any updates.
9.2 Effective Date of Changes
- Updated Privacy Policies take immediate effect upon publication, unless stated otherwise.
- If a user continues to use CatVPN after changes are implemented, it is considered acceptance
of the updated
Privacy Policy.
- If a user does not agree with the changes, they may discontinue using the service and
uninstall the app.
